From 6th June 2012, there were major changes to the Thames Travel 101 service, with parts of the route and buses at certain times cut, as a result of cuts by Oxfordshire County Council to the bus subsidies.

New Thames Travel Timetables

New Timetables valid from 3 June 2012 for Thames Travel 101 and 106 timetables with some minor time changes.

New county-wide dial-a-ride service covering South Oxfordshire

Oxfordshire County Council is introducing a new county-wide dial-a-ride service for disabled and mobility-impaired people this month. This replaces the current Octabus and Cherwell Dial-a-Ride services in other parts of Oxfordshire and will extend dial-a-ride to South Oxfordshire for the first time!

Go Ride Saturday Evening and Sunday Service to continue for at least 12 months (Revised Timetable)

The Cabinet at the County Council on 14th February approved the £12,000 “Big society” bid made by the Go Ride Bus Company. The bid was supported by Chalgrove, Watlington Cuxham, Stadhampton & Garsington Parish Councils. This means that the new Saturday evening and Sunday services will run for at least the next 12 months with a slightly revised timetable.

GO RIDE Saturday evening and Sunday services to continue until end of March 2012 (Revised Timetable)

GoRide are pleased to announce that they are able to continue the trial of the Saturday evening service and Sunday daytime service until Oxfordshire County Council's cabinet make a final decision later in the spring. This has been made possible by the support of the local community, a contribution from local county councillors discretionary budget and good numbers on the Sunday Service. GoRide have amended the timetable to allow the overcrowding of services from Garsington into Oxford and to allow more running time over the whole route.

GO RIDE CIC to trial Saturday evening and Sunday services between Watlington and Oxford

GO RIDE CIC and local county councillors are working on providing additional bus services for the communities of Garsington, Stadhampton, Chalgrove, Cuxham, Watlington and Lewknor. The proposal is to trial Saturday evening and Sunday services for the duration of December.

Bus Users' Forum for Oxford, Tue 25 October

Bus Users UK Oxford Group hosts the Bus Users' Forum for Oxford twice a year. The next one will be on Tuesday 25 October in the Assembly Room of Oxford Town Hall. Doors open 6 pm and the meeting wil be from 6.30 until 9 pm. Panellists from Oxfordshire County Council, Arriva, Oxford Bus Company and Stagecoach have all agreed to take part.
